In Hazelwood, Pennsylvania,
KDKA-TV Channel 2 (Pittsburgh) reports on a woman with four children who found out from the local sheriff's office with only one day advance notice that they were being evicted from their rented home, inspite of being up-to-date on their rent. It turns out that the landlord was pocketing her rent money without paying the house note or the taxes and allowed the home go into foreclosure. After the sheriff's office executed the eviction of the family, the lender reportedly called the sheriff’s office later in the day to say that the family can go back into the house and work out a new rental agreement with them.
