Suspended NY Attorney Pleads Guilty To Theft Of Home Sale Proceeds

Suspended Westchester County, New York attorney Chase A. Caro has pleaded guilty to one count of second degree grand larceny, a felony, for stealing $310,000 from an elderly Peekskill, NY man he represented. The money represented the proceeds of the elderly man's home. As part of a plea bargain agreement, he has agreed to pay back the money he took from this client and, in addition, has admitted to stealing more than $300,000 from the proceeds from the sale of Francesca's Pizzeria in Shrub Oak, NY from another client, which he has also agreed to pay back.
