NYS AG Charge Owners Of Adult Home With Theft Of Elderly Patient's Home Sale Proceeds

New York Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo announced the arrests of Harry Smith, 46, and his wife, Christine Smith, age 40, of Beaver Dams, the former operators of a Beaver Dams “Family Type Home” for adults, for stealing thousands of dollars from two elderly residents of the home. Among other things, the indictment accuses the pair of stealing the proceeds of the sale of a 71-year-old resident’s home. Both elderly residents are now deceased.
