Attorney Cops Guilty Plea, Disbarred After Being Nabbed Taking Kid-Client Escrow Cash To Avoid Foreclosure

In Charleston, West Virginia, The Charleston Gazette reports:
  • [O]n Nov. 12, the justices [of the West Virginia Supreme Court] revoked the law license of Anthony Tatano, a Marlinton lawyer who was admitted to the bar in 1999. In September, Tatano pleaded guilty to two counts of embezzlement by misuse of attorney in Pocahontas County Magistrate Court, according to court documents. In a sworn statement before an investigative panel, Tatano admitted he took funds from the accounts of two juvenile clients to avoid foreclosure on his house.
