California Authorities Charge Bogus Appraiser With 142 Felonies

KFSN-TV Channel 30 in Fresno, California reported last week that Phillip Contreras, 54, is accused of posing as a licensed real estate appraiser and forging his boss' signature on dozens of home appraisals. He's charged with 142 counts of forgery, grand theft, identity theft and doing business without a license. He is currently free on $1,770,000 bond.
