Florida Unlicensed Contractor Gets 5 Years For Cheating Over Two Dozen Homeowners

The St. Petersburg Times reports that Mark Shannon Kiser, who falsely held himself out as a licensed contractor and who was charged with bilking over two dozen victims victims across Pinellas County, Florida out of more than $1-million, was sentenced to five years in prison followed by 15 years of probation. He was also ordered to pay $500, 000 in restitution to his victims. Kiser used the business names "Hill Construction" and "Hill Construction and Design" in carrying out the scam.
